Chris Keaton
After an artist career of over fifteen years, Chris Keaton moved to Music City and opened an independent song plugging company. In 1997, he was appointed vice-president of publishing for Barbara Orbison Productions / Still Working Music Group. where he represented the Roy Orbison catalog as well as fifteen contemporary songwriters to the global music market. Under Chris’ leadership, the company had songs recorded by Pam Tillis (Top Ten), George Strait (#1), Reba McEntire (#1), Brooks & Dunn (#1), George Jones, and international recording star, Cliff Richard.

A former partner in KMA Management, along with Bill Aucoin (Kiss, Billy Idol) and Kent Martin (Owner, SRO Productions) he managed Mike Younger (Beyond/BMG). Mr. Younger’s critically acclaimed debut album, which was produced by Rodney Crowell, was released in October 1999.

Among others, he represents the catalogs of Criterion Music (Rodney Crowell, Lyle Lovett, and Rosanne Cash), Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, as well as the writers of Keaton Music Ventures. He has had songs cut by Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Lonestar, Susan Haynes, Lauren Lucas and the We Were Soldiers soundtrack and the Must Love Dogs soundtrack.

In addition to his publishing, management and consulting focus, Chris is a member of the Advisory Council at the W.O.Smith Nashville Community Music School, a music school for children who typically cannot afford music lessons.

Chris is a member in good standing with the Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music, The Recording Academy, Nashville Songwriters Association International, and Toastmasters International.

“I have been involved in the music industry as a performer, producer, and publisher for over thirty years. I studied music at Virginia Commonwealth University and have toured and performed (as an artist) throughout the U.S., Canada, and parts of Europe and the Middle East. I have produced numerous award winning television and radio commercials as well as regional and national record albums. In 1997 the CD release by the Rank Outsiders (Check Point) which I produced, reached number 11 on the Gavin Americana charts. I have produced two other albums which charted as well (#13 and #27).”, says Chris.

Chris has been a featured panelist at the Midwest Regional Music Festival (St. Louis) and Atlantis Music Conference (Atlanta) and has been a speaker at the New York, Tampa and Roanoke VA. Chapters of Nashville Songwriter’s Association International and the NSAI Song Critique this past April in Nashville. He has also been a featured publisher at the Songwriter’s Guild of America monthly song critique in Nashville.

Recently, through his co venture with Criterion Music, Keaton has had songs recorded by Lonestar (“Not a Day Goes By” “Let’s Be Us Again”) and Brooks and Dunn (“Building Bridges”) and new SonyBMG recording artist, Chuck Wicks.

Chris currently resides in the Capital of the Music World, Nashville, TN

Benny Carreon
Self-described as a musically-challenged, tone-deaf and admittedly the only person in the world who moved to Nashville not trying to become discovered in the music industry. Benny is however a gifted and proven entrepreneur who understands the desire to succeed and offers the insight of a business person and an “outsider” who can give the viewpoint many within the music industry tend to take for granted or overlook altogether.

Benny has over 19 years of corporate and business ownership success in the information technology and communications industries. He owns and operates several businesses and consults with corporations throughout the US desirous of expanding their web, telecommunications and technological presence.

Benny currently resides in the Boulder, Colorado area and according to some of his friends, he is a damn nice guy.
